i'm suppose to be asleep but i'm awake. have been popping pills lately and changed my sleeping pattern as well because the medication (especially flu pills) are so sleep-inducing. the past few days were rather uneventful, safe for some 'shocking discoveries' about my new roommate. for now, all i would say is that i will reserve my judgement. sad to say, she currently stands at the negative end. i have no regrets on my action of waking her up 4 something in the morning to confront her regarding my pc.
pc = PERSONAL computer
call me selfish or full of prejudice or anything you want. i am not comfortable lending her my pc even if it's just for surfing. afterall, a pc a something personal and i do have the right to lend it to whoever i wish. i am perfectly comfortable with some other people who want to use my pc. i guess it all boils down to who the person is. of course, it was hard to say 'no' when she asked for the pc to surf the internet. hence, i (un)willingly give-in with(out) a single protest.
however, she really pissed me off when i found out that she used my printer to print her lecture notes as well. not only did she not ask for permission, she used my papers as well and printed her stuff in colour! yes, you read me right. she printed in colour! as if i'm offering some free printing services here. well, nothing is free. only the best things in life are but my printer is not one of them. if i were to charge her for the printing fees, i'll ensure that she falls into bankcruptcy after that! how could i not be mad? i don't print colour for my notes unless it's necessary. hell, i even print on both sides of the paper just to be economical. yet, she unshamelessly printed her notes in colour, using only a single side of the papers! that is the ultimate wastage and to think that she's wasting MY stuff, on my expense! bloody bitch! as if that was not bad enough, she had the nerve to act innocent when i woke her up and confronted her. she had her lucky star to thank for. had my fuse been any shorter then, she would have my palm imprinted on her face! she said sorry after that together with a string of excuses. well, i'm not accepting any of them. there was not even a slightest tinge of guilt in her face. she was merely 'saying' sorry but did not mean it. it is really an eye-opener to find someone this shameless.
now, i'm locking EVERYTHING that can be locked; e.g. my cupboard, my pc. i am impenitent locking up my stuff in front of her. i obviously do not trust her and i could not be bothered if she felt offended. well, my problems are now so-called 'solved' and whatever happens next will surely be happening to my another roomie. i hope i do not have to interfere.
p/s: i love my pc =D. it is as if it has some built-in security system that prevents unconsented use. i hardly have problems with my pc. in fact, it's almost problem-free whenever i use it or when it's used with my consent or when i'm around. but when used illegally by other people, it will suddenly just shut itself off or give problems causing a restart! that's how i found out that my new roommate used my pc for printing. the printer started printing as soon as windows was loaded because my pc shut itself off before she finished printing. (she cannot turn it on again because it is password-protected =D) she only managed to print 2 pages. hahaha...smart pc! =)
