sometimes i really wonder what sort of people they elect as ministers in the cabinet. the recent diesel shortage in the country is one fine example of what a brainless minister can do to the country. a quota is imposed to curb illegal siphoning of subsidised diesel. but what is the result? we don't even have enough diesel supply for our own country. all because of one policy imposed by a brainless idiot!

to be honest, i feel ashamed myself. malaysia being one of the petroluem exporters in the world is actually facing a shortage in diesel. seriously, i don't think it can be anymore embarassing. it is like a milkman is unable provide milk for the family or the fisherman cannot provide fish. i am not looking for anyone to blame. it is obvious that the whole scenario is caused by the quota system. hence, the obvious choice will be revoking the system and find a new way to curb the illegal sales of diesel.

but, no! the idiot who started it all has the nerve to defend the system despite the current dire situation. "it's all under control", he was quoted saying. but is it so? the situation hasn't improve one bit. it has only worsen and will continue to do so if the quota system is not revoked.

we were taught to admit our mistakes when we were young but i am beginning to wonder if all the moral values we learnt is applicable when we become some high and mighty minister. it seems like no minister ever admits a mistake when they make one. instead they point fingers at each other when the cause of the problem is obvious. the malaysian press has no absolute press freedom so it's not of much help either. we only have news highlighting the seriousness of the problem but till now no one has step-up to resolve the problem and no one has publicly blame the minister for the chaos. the internet has more to offer though. forums, blogs and websites are flooded by angry posters. yes, i am one of them too though i don't know why i'm even angry about it. the name of the idiot who caused this havoc is Datuk Shafie Apdal, Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, the former Sabah UMNO Youth Chief and the Member of Parliament for Semporna. i hope he gets his brain back soon (if he ever has any).
